Abbey Primary School's Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy is written with due regard to the Department for Education’s statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Part One of this document provides a useful summary of the comprehensive document above Part One:  Keeping Children Safe in Education. It is a requirement for all school staff to read this section of the document.

What to do if you’re worried a child is being abused was a document produced to help practitioners identify child abuse and neglect and take appropriate action in response.

 

Designated Safeguarding & Child Protection Lead

The Designated Safeguarding & Child Protection Lead for Abbey Primary School is Mr Ian Sanderman, who can be contacted via isandeman@abbey.sutton.sch.uk or 02082540862.

The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mrs A Stirling-Williams, Mr B Bedforth, Ms L Wright, Ms M Harman and Mrs D Wilson who can be contacted via 02082540862.

The school's safeguarding governor is Mrs S Dutta.
