ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Abbey Primary School is a community school for boys and girls aged 3 -11 years.

We presently have 469 children on roll: 417 in the main school and 52 part-time nursery children.

We are a thriving school community, with a very committed staff who provide a happy, caring and disciplined environment for the children.

We believe in a strong partnership between home and school, cemented by our Home-School Agreement.

Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions parents can make. We believe that choice should be based on first-hand experience and knowledge. We therefore welcome visits from prospective parents. Please telephone the office to make an appointment.  We look forward to meeting you.

We hope you enjoy our website.

Construction work commences on Monday 10th September 2018 to extend and refurbish our kitchen/dining area. Regular site meetings are in place and site security and safeguarding is paramount. Please be aware that there will be an increase in the volume of traffic along Glastonbury Road due to construction vehicles. You may want to avoid parking directly outside the school. We will keep you updated on progress of the works via our website and will let you know of any adjustments that need to be made for the children. It is hoped that the works will be complete by the end of this term.
